The 1st artist

Leonardo da Vinci, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso. Some people consider these artists as some of the pioneers of art. I suppose in some aspects they are some of the most influential artists, and probably the most well known. One artist, who I don't think gets enough attention, is mother nature.

Think about it! Is there a better canvas or anything more natural? Nature has organic sounds, naked colors and doesn't care who the audience is, she paints something new everyday. Although sometimes it can be inconvenient, her art is unmatchable. There are some things about the weather that scare the toenails off me, but I also love nature because of how it stimulates all the senses: smell, touch, sight, taste and hear. I don't think theres anything else on earth that can explode all of those senses at once...maybe bacon, but thats another topic.

What feeling do you get when you see the sun starting to set, with a couple of puffy clouds in the sky and the wind is just light enough for the hairs on your arm to salute? The colors start to form in the abyss of the unknown sky above, and your eyes see something they have never seen before with a new mixture of pinks and purples. You can sometimes see a hand in the sky with a paint brush, creating and applying each stroke as you glare up. You can't forget about the sound. The focus your ears need is overwhelming, but if you can focus, you can hear leaves howling in the wind. You make up your own sound for the colors melting through the clouds. Then your nose is filled with the smell of green, or your interpretation of green. Your nose is stronger than ever, and feel like you can smell every single blade of grass, you make up your own scent for a cloud. And then it happens, the goliath moment your eyes have been peeling for: she finishes her painting. You get a taste of serenity and belonging, and then suddenly, these feelings of joy and happiness you've been having for the last 5 minutes, start to fade. Why? Because now the beautiful piece mother nature just finished, is transforming it into a thunderstorm. Your taste buds get introduced to the taste of rain and cold air. And that is when the hand and paint brush disappear, but mother nature is starting her next masterpiece.

We take art for granted. There are many problems in the world, but the biggest is that a lot of people forget about the natural beauty of the world.
